2025 ALWG Summer Encampment
The 2025 ALWG encampment will be at Marion Military Institute in Marion, AL from 31 May to 7 June 2025.

Encampment is an immersion into the full opportunities and challenges of cadet life. It is the centerpiece of a cadet’s first year in CAP. Encampment will be a fun, challenging week that makes a positive impact on cadets.
The Alabama Wing 2025 Encampment will be held at Marion Military Institute in Marion, AL from 31 May to 7 June 2025.
Cadets will be housed in 2-person dorm rooms with communal dorm bathrooms. Meals will be provided by the college dining facility and dietary restrictions listed in CAP Health can be accommodated. Please ensure that any dietary, activity, or medication needs are kept updated in CAP Health.
Cadets attend the ALWG encampment from across the country. Cadets who are flying to Alabama should arrange to fly into Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM). If you are flying in, please fill out the travel form (below) as soon as possible so we can make pickup arrangements.
ALWG 2025 Encampment Travel Form
Check in for encampment will be from 1300-1500 CDT on 31 May 2025. A graduation parade will be held at 1000 CDT on 7 June 2025.
Students who are traveling with cadet or senior member staff and need to arrive early on 29 May will be required to pay the early arrival fee of $50. Early arrival requires registration here as well as an additional registration with a link coming soon.
Character development lessons, non-denominational Christian services, and Catholic services are planned during encampment. If you have any religious needs that we can assist with during encampment, please make a comment in your registration, and a member of our team will reach out to discuss how we can help you have the best encampment experience possible.
Parent and Cadet Q&A Webinars will be held closer to encampment. The packing list is posted in the links below. Make sure your emergency contact and personal information including t-shirt size are updated by clicking on your name in the upper right-hand corner in eServices.
